Folio XVI                Edition II

Welcome to the first web issue of Section Eight.

It's so easy to get locked into one way of thinking, of acting.  Therefore, we decided that we needed to experiment, and take advantage of some of the options for publication besides the standard printed magazine.  An online issue was exactly what we needed as an antedote to print.  Granted, it's not perfect, but we're experimenting.  We hope you'll find it as refreshing as we did.

Front PageLady in Red, photograph by David Barreda.  David was in Ripton this January and saw this.  "I just couldn't resist stopping my car to take this shot." He used it as part of his J-term class "Photographing the Landscpe of Vermont."
More of David's work can be found here.
The quote on the front page is by Sarah LeFeber '02, who has four drawings in this issue.

Section Eight would like to thank: all of our contributors, the Student Activities Office, ITS, and most importantly, all of our readers.
