  1. Cor's Secret Diary

Cor's Secret Diary

Got out the back door with the demons breaking their way in behind us. Bit of a close sneak past a barghest - Parna covered out scent-trail with some stuff he'd picked up, fine bit of foresight there - and on around the city towards the armory.

Ran into the Time Twin posed with a sheet of metal and a big stick about to bang up a storm - managed to not only distract by starting to tell it the story about the first time we met, but also catch the sheet of metal when it lost interest in it and threw it. Guess I picked up something useful in all those years minding the baby cousins after all.

Went on towards the armory. Put on the mask in hopes of remembering secret passages in - did come up with a few, but then as we got there heard howling, battle noise. Parna scouted, reported one of the big demons fighting the armory guards. Decided to go in and try to help armory guards take down demon, then see about guards.

Fight *roiling* in main atrium, one of the nimblewrights darting around the madly swinging demon. Were headed for stairs up, to shoot down at the demon but stay out of its reach, when a barghest attacked out of nowhere at Grettir. Dizyk, Parna and I had it down instantly (think Parna and I killed it twice over between us) while another one attacked then stepped away through an other place back into atrium. We got up the stairs and came out just as nimblewright ducked back into an inner room, another lightning sphere flew up to our level, and the demon blew itself up to be even *bigger*.

All started shooting down at it, magicking etc. Korenne got the barghest down in a fireball but all our hits on the demon seemed barely to be hurting it despite Grettir's bow skills. It couldn't do much to us though up on the balcony (although the stupid lightning sphere stopped blasting at it and started aiming at us) especially once it turned itself into a big demonic fog. It was looking like we might all be there for ages poking at each other when finally the nimblewright came back out and vanished it with some kind of Nothorean magic cannon.

Went down, retrieved my roundaxe, and talked to the nimblewright. It was charged to guard the weapons cache with no provisions for Silver Clan coming back to claim their stuff. Went back and forth a bit and ended up with a deal where we could each pick one thing, to be used in fight against Emsariel/Draegloth (and in self-defense) and to be returned when done with that without trying to copy them. And can take some other stuff that isn't dangerous Nothorean tech. Parna a bit weaselly about it - felt some urgency and didn't put in time to pin him down properly, alas. Don't think he'd really backstab me with my honor as Silver Clan on the line, but no doubt he'll see wiggle room around that.
