Passage through Delving going fairly smoothly. Came to inn our first night - costs about what you'd figure. Decided to travel on with ale-waggoners Sagel and Maeve for their knowledge of route. Also to go by Copper-clan city instead of unknown and Place-jumping shortcut. Some fun the next day with gravity-warping passages, before coming to a shaft where gravity known to flip. Nice set-up with harnesses, platform for wagons. Dizyk and Parna and I went for a climb to see if people had dropped anything interesting up there. Was cut short when Parna nearly grabbed by giant worm, gravity flippage turned out to be controlled by irritating mage-type who heckled us with spells and summoned critters in addition to regular flips. I got fed up with fiddling around with ropes and dropped down on one of the down-flips - was all floaty-like. Did net a few gp, ornamented halbard, and a nice ruby.
That night attacked at waystation by orc brigands and large scorpion-guys. Told orcs through door we didn't have anything they wanted. Orcs threatened to burn us out. At this point, Dizyk and I opened door, I put my fist through the first one, rolled through and dropped a second. Orcs finally figured out that robbery was failing and ran. Mopped them up in the common room, and a set who'd gone after Matsuko besides... scorpions proved not as tough as looked, and nobody got stung despite a couple tail-hits. One did get off a horn-blast, unknown what he was calling. Matsuko, btw, can take form of bird. Could be handy.
Paid passage toll through goblin city the next day - very unclear why Copper-clan allowing that to persist - and managed to peacefully if warily share waystation with pallid orcs that night. Listened but couldn't hear anything about Barg. Wish I knew how he was doing. Merchants coming from the other way mentioned abominations coming out of a side-tunnel (possibly connected to Telperest??), so are on guard for such.
