Returning to valley to deal with dragon hatchlings. Sage not around to ask for advice. Druids also not around - have all taken off. Maybe to fight dream mages for Felderoak? Rest of party unconcerned, uninterested. But, bad for local natural order if all druids gone. Bad for Telperest if druids get Felderoak. Situation bears watching.Tried sparring with Shiarra in dragon form to get a sense of tactics. Almost walked in on by Quicksilver and did a poor job covering up - ended up going as group and Shiarra telling her. Seems to have taken it well, mostly wanted to "study" her reaction to spells which we were a little iffy about but were standing by to whack her if it was hurting Shiarra.
Tried dreaming about Taerun our first night out of Telperest - got a big condor-bird thing sitting on a hugely tall mountain with primordial Telperest down below. Moh knows what that means.
And then, we're just starting to think about camping or maybe pressing on to an inn, when the ground starts shaking and raises itself up into this ten-foot heap of dirt and leaves and stuff. We of course start in on it - I get in a couple good sweep-kicks, think we can take it apart - but it wallops me *hard* with a couple of roots and gets me in a squeeze grip. I wiggle out of that but at about this point these big ugly dog things show up with some freaky yelping, *and* somebody invisible starts casting at us. Going visible, but I didn't get a good look as one of the dog things got me. I was hurting *bad* - worst I've ever, barely on my feet - but Quicksilver dropped me a healing potion and I was able to get myself back together a little. Was looking bad - the pile, the dogs, and the caster - only one of the dog things goes for the invisible guy, running them off. So the caster was attacking us with the pile, and the dogs just happened to find us? Would just figure. Got to figure out who that mage was if we survive these fracking dogs.
